Memorial day
Sup guys just a blog to talk about what Memorial day means to me! First i just want to thank everyone that sacrificed so i can enjoy this day! Thanks you! What is Memorial day? It is a day that commemorates the members of the United States armed forces who were killed in war! Originally called Decoration Day The Ladies of the South who are Decorating the Graves of the Confederate Dead. Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic. It was recognized by all of the northern states. The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I. It is now celebrated in almost every State on the last Monday in May. What it means to me is a day of remembrance not only for the soldiers but for my family that i shared the holiday with who are no longer here!
